The Karnataka Hindi Promotions Committee was established in the year 1939 as the branch of South India Hindi campaigning in association with the inspiration of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhiji. Today this institution has celebrated Amrut Mahotsav. The leader of the Indian freedom struggle, all Mr. H.C. Dasappa ji, K. C. Reddy ji, Nittur Srinivasa Rao ji, K. Shyamraj Ayyangar ji, A.G. Ramchandra Rao, S. Nijalingappa ji, Ramkrishna Hegde ji, Haranahalli Ramaswamy ji etc were the authors of this committee and continued to provide direction to Hindi publicity work. In these seventy-five years, the committee has achieved unprecedented success in the Hindi region.


Today, 1,505 publishers are engaged in updating the official language in 673 learning centers. About 75 to 80 thousand students are preparing for Hindi tests every year. There is a huge building of the committee on the plot of 300 'x 300` (three hundred and three hundred) in capital city of Bengaluru. Hindi students and their training colleges have prepared Hindi tillers in a large number of children in a number of tens of millions. Hindi Institution Training, refresher camps and Hindi workshops, essays, speech and drama competitions and literary symposia, detective lectures etc. are organized. For the purpose of Hindi promotion, the committee runs free working for computer class, Hindi typing category, office clerks.

The committee has its own library. There are more than 13,000 precious gems. The Committee has its own publication and sales department. Most of the textbooks of various examinations conducted by the committee are published by the committee. Plus more than 370 free Hindi classes are running. The "Language-Push" committee has its own cultural, literary and ideological mouthpiece, which is reflecting the art, literature of Karnataka and bringing the Bhavikya of the nation.


It is a matter of great joy that in the last year 2016, literary sorcery was organized in Bangalore and Belgaum on the personality and cremation of Dr. Mahadevi Verma and Dr. Makhanlal Chaturvedi. With the help of central financial help Bhavani Prasad Mishra has decided to publish a book called Chintinda Sahitya. Apart from this, comparative symposium was organized on Kannada-Hindi devotional literature. The 16th century Kumaravas has rendered "Karnat Bharat Kalpana Manjari" (Kumaravis Mahabharata) from Kannada in Hindi. The Hindi translation work of Kuvempu storage is completed. Starting a venture to award non-Hindi-speaking literary to the Karnataka native to his original Hindi works, the committee has put a new milestone.
